| What is the essence of Art? Art is the soul externalized; the true revelation of one's deepest thoughts and subconscious desires. Art must be the driving force of one's destiny to sincerely be a masterpiece - a part of humanity's historical record. Do you ever feel like throwing in the towel and finding a new path? If only momentarily, then you are listening to your fate calling - when you are compelled to create, you are etching your fingerprint in the record of time. | What is the purpose of the Artist? The purpose of the artist is to define his or her moment in visual terms within history. One cannot presume that simply doing, without placing yourself in the context of your field and historical period , will set you among the stars of your profession. If you wish to say something purposeful and lasting then say it strongly . . . say it because it has to be said not because it makes a "sound bite." |
